Trump names Laura Ingraham and Maria Bartiromo of Fox News to Kennedy Center board
President Donald Trump has named two more loyalists to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ board – Fox News hosts Laura Ingraham and Maria Bartiromo – as the president continues to reshape the center and its programming.
The newly constituted board elected Trump as chairman last month after he announced an aggressive plan to remake the nation’s cultural center by purging the previous board and ousting its chairman.
Trump has also planned changes to the center’s programming, telling reporters last month that “we’re going to make sure that it’s good and it’s not going to be woke. There’s no more woke in this country.”
The moves prompted Jeffrey Seller, producer of the hit musical “Hamilton,” to cancel the show’s upcoming run in 2026 at the center. Artists including Issa Rae, Shonda Rhimes and Ben Folds, have also resigned from their leadership roles or canceled events at the space.
