US making progress at talks with Ukrainian officials — Waltz

NEW YORK, March 11. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump’s administration is making progress at talks with Ukrainian officials, according to US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz.

In response to a question about how the meeting went, Waltz replied, "Getting there," CNN reported.

Al Arabiya television reported earlier that teams from the US and Ukraine wrapped up the first round of their talks in Saudi Arabia on settling the Ukrainian conflict. A CBS television reporter wrote on X that the discussions will continue.

The talks had begun earlier on Tuesday in Jeddah, with the US team led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Waltz. Ukraine is represented by Vladimir Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andrey Yermak, Foreign Minister Andrey Sybiga and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. According to previous statements from both sides, the issues on the table could include a minerals deal and resumption of US arms supplies to Ukraine.
